Vila Ula La is a luxury villa converted to modern apartments. Vila Ula La in Bled is an old traditional Bled villa originally constructed in 1936 and is also protected under the cultural heritage. It was completely renovated in 2019. It was built according to an original architectural concept from 1936. It offers luxury accommodations for the guest. Villa is designed very modernly with a good taste, celebrating high quality natural materials. It manages to create cozy boutique apartments with all the luxuries and warmth of our villa you deserve. Our rooms are designed to extend the luxury of nature and glamor. Vila Ula La has a spacious and picturesque landscape that is situated for all guest´s enjoyment. Excellent location. Conveniently located close to a bakery (30 m), super-markets (150 m), restaurants (50-200m), bus station (100 m) and Tourist Information Centre Bled (150m). Our villa is situated near the center, 5 minutes walking distance from the Bled lake from where you can also start a hike to the Bled castle. Bled Straža ski lift is within 20 minutes walk. Vintgar Gorge is 4 km away, Ljubljana airport is 30 km away. There are regular buses to Bohinj Lake, Vogel and Ljubljana. If you‘ll arrive with a car, our parking lot is available to you free of charge. Within a 35 minute drive you can reach Pokljuka in the Triglav National Park, a 50 minute drive to Kranjska Gora, one and a half hour drive to Vršič Pass and the beautiful emerald Soča river (which is in the center of the Triglav National Park). There are also some lovely options a bit further away at Postojna cave, Lipica and the beautiful city of Piran on the seaside. The capital city of Slovenia, Ljubljana, can be reached by car in 40 minutes or by bus in one hour. Bled is in fact the perfect spot to explore Slovenia. All Slovenian attractions are a short distance from Vila Ula La and there is a lot to see.

Luxurious, elegant, spacious apartments with kitchen, living room, 1 or 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. 6 apartments have a balcony and 2 apartments have access to the garden just a few stairs away. The apartments have big windows, bright interior, high ceilings with a very spacious feeling, views to the flower garden or mountains, all hardwood (natural oak) flooring. All floors and furniture are made with high quality materials.
LIVING ROOM offers a 2 person modern sofa double bed which exudes without effort. You will love the idea of transforming the sofa into a queen size double bed with sheets already dressed. Ultimate comfort – making your room look good by day and a restful sleep by night. The living room is equipped with the latest technology cable Q-LED TV with a wide range of programs.
KITCHEN is fully equipped with marble kitchen counter, cooking hob, kitchenware, dining table with 4-6 chairs, dishwasher, microwave oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, water heater and an electric milk frother.

The company was also proven by one of their most eminent references: Konstantinov’s mansion in St. Petersburg, the most important protocol building of the Russian president. It is advisable not to open the windows because the reoccupation is constantly ventilating. Each apartment offers plenty of natural light. History of Vila Ula La
Architectural plans for the villa were made in 1935 and 1936, when all necessary permits for construction were obtained. The investor of the facility was Mr. Filip Ambrožič, who started construction in that same year. He built up the facility by 1938 to the extent that it was ready to obtain a work permit, which was also issued in 1938.
The villa was built in a modernist style and was initially thought of as a residential building. Mr. Filip’s wife operated a restaurant on the neighboring property. Mr. Filip was able to modify the operating permit for Vila Ambrožič(now Vila Ula La) from a residential permit to a commercial permit(room rental). He did this and obtained all the necessary permits so that the villa served as a tourist accommodation. This was the case until the beginning of World War II, when the German occupiers seized the villa. All interier living space was used for propaganda and cinema purposes. After the end of the war, the house was expropriated, which meant that Mr. Filip no longer owned his property. He never acquired his house back because it was unrightfully (or unlawfully) taken from him.
The villa served as a lodging facility for workers who worked in Bled hotels. Mr. Filip never had a house again. At the time of denationalization, the descendants or relatives of Mr. Filip Ambrozic got back the ownership of the villa. The villa has never been properly renovated since it was built because it needed the right owner. Consequently, with nobody investing into the villa it was notably damaged.
The villa was purchased from all owners in 2017. In that same year renovation began, which took place over a year and a half. By 2018, the villa was properly restored. It was restored to its original plans.
